Joe Worricker is set to debut a new double A-side 'Genie' as the first release on his own record label Blu Genie Records. Featuring two singles from Joe’s back catalogue, Genie and Love Potion are big energy soul-pop songs that are reminiscent of the late 2000s.
Speaking on what influenced the album and sparked the jump to start his own label Joe comments ‘I decided to start my own label and take complete control of the creative process. I’ve been working hard on some new music for my next EP and while looking at some old tracks I came across these singles that never got released, so I thought why not put them out there for people to hear?’ This will be the singer’s second release this year after featuring on music icon Boy George’s latest album This Is What I Dub, Vol. 1.
Co-written with Amy Winehouse collaborator Ian Barter and produced by Jaz Rogers who has worked with everyone from Lauryn Hill to Demi Lovato, Genie is a great addition to the Joe Worricker collection, with more new music to follow. Available on all platforms now.
